Blankets: Cut bolts of fleece fabric into 2 yard lengths. We have a cutting mat and rotary cutter on hand, we just need someone to help us during office hours! This opportunity is limited to 1 or 2 volunteer at a time due to our cutting mats available. If an additional "helper" were to join you to help you fold or count the completed blanket sets, that would be just fine. Blankets will be completed by future volunteer groups to be donated to shelters, schools, and a number of nonprofits in our community.
Dog Toys: Cut fleece into 3" strips in preparation for our upcoming Twisted Dog Toy projects! These dog toys will be donated to nonprofits that foster and support animals, train service dogs and more. This task can be accomplished by 1-2 volunteers.
Supplies: Count supplies to help ensure we have up-to-date inventory. This task can be done individually or in a group of 2-4.
We can accommodate most weekday schedules, with a preference for 1 or more hours between the hours of 9 AM to 4 PM. Email Tori@handsontwincities.org with any questions or to schedule a time to help our team cut fabric!
