Help bring art into new public spaces — and be part of building something from the ground up.
The Kouba Gallery has been invited to host a monthly popup gallery at the Downtown Sheraton, and we are looking for a Popup Gallery Coordinator to help shape and guide this new initiative.
This is a relationship-centered, supported role — ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating creative work, working with artists, and helping something meaningful grow over time.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate a monthly 4-hour popup gallery experience
- Help issue artist calls and build a bench of participating artists
- Coordinate basic logistics (setup, timing, flow of the event)
- Support light marketing coordination (ensuring events are shared and visible)
- Help staff the popup and ensure a welcoming experience
- Participate in a monthly Tuesday evening Kouba Gallery committee meeting
You will not be doing this alone — you’ll be supported by the Kouba Gallery team.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 6–10 hours per month
-
Includes:
- Monthly popup event (4 hours)
- Light coordination before/after
- Monthly Tuesday evening committee meeting
This Role Is a Great Fit If You:
- Enjoy organizing creative projects and bringing people together
- Are comfortable communicating with artists and collaborators
- Like being part of something in development, not just maintaining
- Want a meaningful role without a full-time commitment
- Care about the intersection of art, nature, and community
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Be part of launching a new public-facing gallery experience
- Build relationships with artists and creative organizations
- Gain experience in arts coordination and community programming
- Join a thoughtful, mission-driven team shaping how art connects to place
Why This Matters
This initiative expands the Kouba Gallery beyond its walls — bringing art, conversation, and connection into new spaces. The right person in this role helps make that possible.
