10th Wave is seeking a new Board Member to serve from January 2024-January 2026. 10th Wave is a 501c(3) musician-led ensemble that collaborates with living, local and/or underrepresented artists to perform high quality programming and connect with the Minneapolis-St. Paul community.
We are seeking a board member with a strong background in fundraising, grant writing, and/or donor relations. This board member would play a significant role in mentoring and assisting our organization to raise funding for our concert seasons and expand our donor base. Board Responsibilities
- Serve a 2 year term
- Attend 3 scheduled board meetings in the fiscal year virtually or in-person
- Serve on fundraising committee and attend meetings as necessary
- Advise the organization’s Director of Fundraising in identifying new donors, new sources of funding, and brainstorming fundraising campaigns for Give to the Max and an annual summer fundraiser event
- Reviewing and evaluating KPIs set for the fiscal year
- Partnering with other board members to ensure the organization’s mission and resolutions are being carried out
- Upholding the organization’s commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Represent and act as an ambassador to the organization’s mission and presence in the Minneapolis-St. Paul community
Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising or donor relations in their current or former profession.
- Enthusiasm or background in the classical music genre and/or arts industry
- Willingness to work with and mentor staff members
- Passion to bring inclusiveness and equity to the arts
- Commitment to our mission
