By volunteering for just two hours per week, you could make a significant difference in the lives of multiple teens at TreeHouse. By building personal relationships with teens in your community as a support group mentor, you can help provide them with support and life skills to face their challenges head-on. We provide Support Groups to teens weekly to create an environment where they feel safe to talk about their lives.
Key Roles & Qualifications
- Love youth and care about families who are struggling
- Good interpersonal skills, reliable, empathetic, and good listener
- Assist and facilitate small group discussions among teens
- Build intentional, personal relationships with teens
- Non-judgmental
Time commitment & Requirements
- Tuesdays 6:30- 9:00 PM
- Attend program at least 3 times per month
- Complete Volunteer Orientation, background check and volunteer training
- Participate in support group debriefings
