Do you enjoy spending time with older adults? Episcopal Homes is seeking compassionate volunteers to serve as one-to-one companions or group activity leaders for our residents. As a volunteer, you can read aloud, write letters, play games, share stories, and build meaningful connections through conversation and shared experiences. Reminisce about your lives, families, careers, travels and hobbies and come make a difference in someone's day. You can visit once a week or twice a month on a schedule that works best for you.

Here are our top 13 volunteer needs for you to consider:
- Our Kinder Village 3–5-year-olds visit assisted living residents on the first Wednesday of the month and the second Thursday of the month, 10-11:30am. We would love to have your assistance for these Grand Friends gatherings!
- Are you an early morning riser? We are looking for a volunteer to take a resident for courtyard strolls or indoor campus walks from 8-9am. You can volunteer once a week, more or less.
- Do you enjoy a nice Pub for Happy Hour? We are looking for a volunteer to take a resident to the Episcopal Homes Pub 3:30-5pm. You can pick the day of the week that works best for you.
- Our Minnesota summers and autumns are beautiful, and we would love to have volunteers lead a Walking Club on Wednesdays 12:30-2pm. This involves pushing residents in wheelchairs, and this is a great volunteer activity to do with a friend or family member!
- Are you a lover of Bingo? We are looking for groups of 3-5 volunteers to lead Bingo on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays 1:30-3:30pm. Have a great time calling bingo, helping residents find their numbers, and handing out prizes too!
- Craft leaders are needed on Wednesdays 1-3pm. No experience is necessary, and our Life Enrichment team will provide the materials and ideas too!
- Do you love flower arranging with a small group? We are looking for 1-2 volunteers to help our residents in memory care with arranging flowers in their dining room on Saturdays or Sundays for about an hour during the day.
- Our Catholic residents would love help getting to the Rosary and Mass on Tuesdays 1-3pm on our campus.
- Do you play the guitar or piano? Would you be interested in sharing your talent with a Hymn Sing on a monthly or quarterly basis on weekdays? We would love to have your assistance with these joyous singing events!
- Our residents in memory care would love more weekend activities. If you have time for one-to-one strolls around campus, are able to provide some nice nail polishing, or want to share your friendly lap pet, please let us know what day/time works best for you!
- Chess players wanted for our residents at Iris Park Commons!
- Our residents would like to have more volunteer Chapel Escorts on Thursdays 10:30-11:45 for Catholic Service and 9:30-11am for Episcopal Service.
- Want to volunteer occasionally without a set schedule? We have parties and entertainment on campus frequently! We would love your help pushing residents in wheelchairs to the performance site on campus. Please complete a volunteer application to be added to the email invite list.
