Pre-GED Reading Volunteer

Summit Academy OIC is looking for a reading volunteer to lead adult education classes. Students in the Summit Prep program are building foundational reading skills in comprehension and vocabulary in order to enter into Summit's GED program.

Classes go from 9:00-10:30am, Monday-Friday. All lesson plans and materials are provided. Volunteers can teach in-person or online via Zoom. Students are hybrid. Our current need is for reading volunteers on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

All volunteers interested in this opportunity must attend a 12-hour training before they are able to teach in the classroom.
