YouthLink serves young people ages 16-24 experiencing homelessness in the Twin Cities.
On Thursday, August 17, we are having our annual Summer Party and hope to offer haircuts to attendees. Hours are 11 AM- 2 PM, but if you can just help out for part of the time, that is ok! Please note that YouthLink serves about 85% Black/African American youth, so experience working with coily/4C hair type, natural and textured hair is needed.
Our drop-in center, located in downtown Minneapolis, helps about 80 young people each day. Youth can access basic needs like a hot meal, shower, laundry, clothing, bus passes and more. Case managers help connect youth to housing, education, and employment resources. This summer, YouthLink has seen a 33% increase in young people seeking help.
