YouthLink is a black-led organization and about 90% of youth identify as black or mixed race. So ability to work with natural, textured, and 4C curly hair is a must.
About YouthLink:
For more than 45 years, YouthLink has helped young people between the ages of 16 and 24 on their journeys from homeless to hopeful. YouthLink is located in downtown Minneapolis and serves youth from across the Twin Cities metro. At our drop-in center, young people can find refuge off the streets and access basic needs, like a hot meal, shower, laundry services, clothing, and personal care items. Case managers help youth work toward housing, education, and employment goals. YouthLink staffs two supportive housing complexes in Minneapolis. We also provide rental assistance and case management for dozens of individuals living in scattered-site housing across the Twin Cities. Last year, YouthLink helped more than 1,600 young people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.
