We have volunteers that “stroll” with residents around our campus on the lake surrounded by gardens and flowers. In the winter they stroll inside, where they can see the beautiful lake and wildlife from our hallways and gathering spots with large windows. In the summer volunteers can stroll with residents on our paved walking trails leading to the lake. If you would like to share some of your time pushing a resident in a wheelchair around our beautiful campus ….. We would love for you to join our volunteer team!

This will be the second season for our new pontoon, which is docked on our private property. The pontoon was custom designed for older adults and wheelchairs. A staff member will be on the pontoon at all times. Our residents really love getting out on the lake. Many of them have lived on a lake and owned a boat of their own. Our resident pontoon rides are scheduled from June through August. It takes about 20 minutes to board the pontoon; the ride is usually about an hour, and then another 20 minutes to un-load the pontoon. Drivers must be willing to take an online certification test at our expense or show proof of certification if you already have one. Orientation and checklist are provided.
