PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Board Members will utilize personal and professional skills, relationships and knowledge for the advancement of SOMFAM. Duties include but are not limited to:

Attend Board meetings.Strategic planning with occasional task or committee work, special meetings, or training.Ensure strong fiduciary oversight and financial management. Actively seek to engage members of the community as volunteers and/or donors.Serve as advocates and ambassadors for the organization and fully engage in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the organization to advance its mission.Leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action.Attend annual fundraising event.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: SOMFAM is seeking individuals who have financial, legal, marketing, organizational development, volunteer resource, and fundraising experience to help expand the work of our nonprofit.

Post and update volunteer postings to recruit volunteers to our organization  Assist with other administrative tasks

We are looking for a communications volunteer to enhance our visibility and support our fundraising efforts.

Help to create a monthly newsletter and develop content Help us craft stories to demonstrate the impact of SOMFAM’s programming
