Volunteer: Road Guru - Driver’s Written Test Tutor

Win/Win/Win:
Ensure Good Drivers, Refresh Your Driving Habits, Help Someone Gain Transportation Independence

Do you wish other drivers were better prepared? Are you looking for an easy way to give back AND get more connected to others in our community? Do you enjoy tutoring? Are you looking for the occasional volunteer gig? This tutoring role involves helping job-seeking adults, mostly English language learners, prepare for the written MN Driver’s License Knowledge (Written) Test – a prerequisite on the path to getting their driver’s license. Having a driver’s license opens doors to jobs, child care, improved living conditions and self-sufficiency. One-on-one coaching for the written test increases the chance that they will pass the test and be more aware of important aspects of being a good and safe driver – and we ALL benefit from that! In this role you will see your impact firsthand and gain insight into how employment barriers affect your community.

Daily Work is committed to having a diverse staff, intern, and volunteer workforce. We encourage people from all racial, ethnic, socioeconomic backgrounds to apply.
