Opportunities From: HandsOn Twin Cities

The Interim Care  Coordinator responds to requests for short-term foster care from Rescue Crew fosters as needed (e.g. vacation, family emergencies, etc.).

While the work is virtual, we are looking for a volunteer local to the Twin Cities as they may be going to boarding locations.

Act as a temporary guardian and caretaker for foster animals. 

The foster animal will be staying in your home for the determined period of time when the regular foster is on vacation or otherwise out of town. 

This is a great way to see if fostering is for you, or if you want to help an animal in need of a home without the longer term commitment of regular fostering. 

To become an interim foster: 
1. Fill out the Foster Application (https://rescuecrew.org/foster-application/)
2. Foster Coordinator will reach out to discuss what fostering looks like and address any questions you may have
3. Keep an eye out on for requests for interim care, notify team if you are available to help

Certified Vet Tech background is preferred, OR have previous experience working within the veterinary field. However, a passionate, professional and organized volunteer with a desire to learn is also welcome!

Vetting Coordinators assist the fosters and Crew Member Coordinators with the vetting needs of our foster animals. You will maintain proactive relationships with our Coordinators and foster homes ensuring medical and vetting needs of the animals in our are being met.

Responsibilities include tracking vetting due on animals such as vaccinations, alterations, HWT, flea/tick preventatives, microchip, etc. You will also be responsible to answer vetting related questions from the fosters, adopters and  coordinators and assist in the scheduling surgeries with our partner clinics.
