We get it - if you come into the shelter you might want take all the kitties home. But there are lots of ways you can help without that temptation. Whether you can volunteer a few hours each month or take on a larger role, we'd love to hear from you and learn more about the skills and passion you have to offer. Outreach Volunteers Help us represent Caring for Cats in North Saint Paul at meetings, community events, festivals, parades, and fundraisers. Volunteers will help us spread the word about Caring for Cats and participate in event planning, staffing information tables, recruiting participants, and helping us build relationships in the community. Development Volunteers Help us thank the people who make our work possible. Development volunteers make donor thank-you calls, write thank-you notes, assist with mailings, and help strengthen relationships with supporters. No fundraising experience is required, just a friendly attitude and appreciation for our donors. Social Media Content Creators Help more cats find loving homes by creating photos, videos, stories, and social media content. Volunteer: Cat CaregiverScoop litter, clean various shelter areas, sweep and mop the floors, feed the cats and kittens, provide basic grooming and socializing, and provide much-needed love and attention. This is a typical starting role for new volunteers without previous shelter experience. All volunteers must be 18+ and able to make a one year volunteer commitment of at least 5 hours each month. Physical requirements include standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
