As the Front Desk Receptionist Volunteer, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and community members. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment at our community center while supporting the smooth daily operation of front office activities.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Greet all visitors warmly and direct them appropriately

·        Answer and route phone calls in a courteous and professional manner

·        Respond to general inquiries in person, by phone, or email

·        Assist with check-ins for appointments, classes, or events

·        Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area

·        Maintain the cleanliness and order of the coffee and tea area in the lobby

·        Provide administrative support such as filing, copying, and data entry

·        Notify staff of guest arrivals and scheduled meetings

·        Uphold confidentiality and a respectful, inclusive atmosphere at all times

Looking for volunteers who are comfortable speaking Spanish to help with the check-in process at Sabathani Community Center's food shelf and clothing closet. We serve 100-150 families per day. At least half of our clients speak Spanish.

We're open from 9:30-11:00 AM and 12:30-2:00 PM and are looking for people for Mondays and Wednesdays, which are typically our busiest days. You can come for both time slots or just one, whatever works best for you. Please arrive a half hour before your shift so we can show you how to our Salesforce platform works.

Looking for volunteers to assist clients in our food shelf food shelf. Work is indoors and mask, sanitizing, and social distancing protocols are observed. Knowledge of Spanish or other languages spoken by Twin Cities residents is helpful but not required.

Position duties include:

Volunteers needed Monday - Thursday 9:30-2:30. Please sign up for a time slot here. New dates added frequently, so please keep checking back.

Volunteers needed to assist clients, keep space tidy, and sort and hang donations. Knowledge of Spanish or any other languages spoken by Minneapolis residents useful but not required.
