Tuesday, March 19th is Disability Day at the Capitol, and we are looking for 24 volunteers to rally at the rotunda with us!
What: Disability Day at the Capitol
When: Tuesday, March 19, 2024
Where: West Metro office: 1909 Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata, MN 55391
East Metro Office: 2539 County Road E East, White Bear Lake, MN 55110
Time: Volunteers meet at either the east or west metro locations at 8:15 am.
Buses load and depart each location at 8:45 am. Arrive at the State Capitol and you are dropped off at 9:30 am. After the day is over, busses will depart the Capitol at 1pm and return to the east and west metro offices.
Volunteer roles: To assist individuals onto the bus. Take a head count going and returning. Rally at the capital. Assist lead volunteer and group of individuals we support to the legislators' offices, as they self-advocate
Meals: A boxed lunch will be provided
