In the Fall of 2022, Great River Greening volunteers constructed gravel beds for bare root trees and shrubs in Allemansrätt Park. Join Great River Greening on April 27 to transplant these very shrubs from the gravel beds to a small island in North Center Lake in Allemansrätt Park. Volunteers will learn how to remove the shrubs, then load them onto a pontoon boat to transport and plant on the island.
Note that the use of the boat is dependent on whether the ice is out on the lake. We will notify volunteers of plan B if ice is still on.
Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to attend. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary, we will provide the tools and training required. There will also be light snacks and extra water available, however, please bring your own reusable water bottle and any additional snacks or lunch items you may need.
Once you have registered via GivePulse, organizers from Great River Greening will approve your registration and you will receive confirmation. You will continue to receive event reminders as the event nears.
