In the first half of this session you will learn how to effectively brand yourself and your organization when leveraging social media to promote and engage your network. You’ll have the opportunity to strengthen your LinkedIn profile and learn about free resources to bolster your organization’s communication strategy.
In the second half, you will discover some of the risks and watch-outs that come with utilizing social media to promote your non-profit and events. The focus will be on how to appropriately use content produced by your organization and how to leverage third party content. Specific topics include: the basics of copyright and permissions and appropriately running sweepstakes or giveaways.

Holly Hulke, Esq.

After graduating from University of Minnesota Law School in 2013, Holly worked as an Intellectual Property attorney at two large law firms in the Twin Cities. Although still a licensed attorney, Holly transitioned her career to focus on training and professional development, first working with attorneys at Faegre Baker Daniels and now at Thomson Reuters. Since joining Thomson Reuters' Training, Education and Development department in 2016, Holly has focused on onboarding new Sales Professionals and Client Managers. She focuses primarily on teaching effective sales conversations, practice management and attorney workflow.

After graduating from William Mitchell College of Law in 2013, Mara accepted a position as an Attorney Account Manager at Thomson Reuters. In her tenure at the company she has worked with Product Development, Marketing and Customer Experience. In 2016 she joined the Training, Education and Development department, onboarding new Sales Professionals. She focuses primarily on teaching social selling, effective sales conversations, practice management and attorney workflow.
