Saint Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation

The Saint Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation is a non-profit membership organization that produces Minnesota’s Iciest and  Spiciest festivals – Saint Paul Winter Carnival and Cinco de Mayo West Side Saint Paul.  We rely on sponsors, fundraisers, donations, charitable gaming and our members to support our year-round activities.

Our mission is to foster a sense of community pride, belonging and connectedness by celebrating Saint Paul's unique history and emerging heritage through fun and educational experiences.

~ 135th Winter Carnival ~ 

The Saint Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation’s 135th Saint Paul Winter Carnival will run for 11 days – all day on weekends and evenings during the week. From Thursday, Jan. 28 through Sunday Feb. 7, 2021, the festival will attract 250,000+ people from Saint Paul and beyond to celebrate winter in Minnesota. Landmark Center, located in the heart of downtown Saint Paul, the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, and businesses throughout the city will be venues for event festivities, which include ice carving competitions, family-friendly artistic and educational activities, and much more! 

The festival has expanded each year to provide new programming that reflects changing demographics of the community. Landmark Center features free entertainment activities from diverse cultures: music and dance by local artists, hands-on crafts, and food and merchandise booths from around the world. Being an anniversary year, and making adjustments due to city regulations, enhanced virtual and drive-thru experiences are being created to ensure families can participate in this year’s fun while continuing to make safety a top priority. The 2021 Winter Carnival will be an exuberant celebration of winter in our state capital!
