Restart, Inc.

Who We Are

Restart, Inc. is a Minnesota-based non-profit organization that teaches basic skills to adults with brain injury and related disabilities who are struggling to live independently.

Since 1986, we have helped individuals maximize their personal potential so they can live happy, healthy and productive lives in the Twin Cities community. We provide safe and nurturing environments through our Residential and Outreach programs that are customized to each individual’s unique needs.

Restart has pursued its mission with passion: To support persons with brain injury and related disabilities to achieve their highest level of independence  through programs and independent living skills services in community living and outreach environments.

What We Do

Restart’s goals are to continue providing quality services to persons with brain injuries, to expand the services we offer and respond to the challenge of meeting the needs of an ever-growing target population.

From our first site in South Minneapolis, we have grown to 9 residential homes in Minneapolis, Robbinsdale, Brooklyn Center, Crystal and New Hope – all focused on individuals living with traumatic brain injury. In addition, we have developed an extensive Independent Living Skills Outreach service to assist individuals with brain injury and other disabilities in the context of their own homes and communities.
