Who We Are

Rebuilding Together Minnesota, an affiliate of Rebuilding Together, Inc., has been preserving homes and revitalizing communities since 1997. We work year-round to sustain healthy neighborhoods and ensure that people in need can live independently and safely in their homes.

In 1997, local business leaders and social service agency representatives in the Twin Cities believed that neighborhoods could be revitalized one home at a time, and with just a little help, neighborhoods could remain safe and viable. Rebuilding Together Twin Cities was formed to help homeowners in need across the Twin Cities live independently in safe and healthy homes.

We expanded our roofing services statewide in 2021 and with the invitation of Southwestern Minnesota Counties, partnered to provide services for the five county area of Cottonwood, Jackson, Murray, Nobles and Pipestone Counties, as well as roof repair and replacement statewide. With this expanded scope, we changed our name to Rebuilding Together Minnesota.

What We Do

We proudly provide no-cost critical repairs to low-income homeowners from communities who have experienced systemic barriers to homeownership or who are at risk of losing their homes. Our suite of programs identifies and makes impactful repairs and modifications such as accessibility and aging in place, as well as major and minor critical repairs that impact health, safety, well being, and community.

We follow the need, engaging with key community leaders, service providers, and the latest research to identify areas of focus and develop goals that track our impact. This ensures that meaningful and measurable changes can be incorporated into strategic and intentional growth to reach those we serve.
