Who We Are

Perspectives is an award-winning human service program that addresses society’s most pressing issues: equity, diversity, inclusion, homelessness, poverty, addiction, mental illness, food security, and lack of access to life-changing opportunities for disenfranchised mothers and their children.

What We Do

After a lifetime of being exposed to these traumatic experiences, a mother’s chances of replicating that same cycle of trauma with her child(ren) are incredibly high. We have shown from our decades of work that we can disrupt that cycle through intervention and by removing barriers. Through a holistic approach that includes trauma-informed care, therapeutic services, supportive housing, and best-practice programming; mothers are empowered and able to begin again.

When a woman becomes a mother, a deep desire to change her life and provide a healthier environment for her child(ren) is often also born. Still, untreated trauma and barriers are too significant to overcome alone.

Our mothers share that they and their children, “...just never had a chance”. The truth is, they didn’t until they arrived at Perspectives.
