Who We Are
MAVA is a state and global leader in meeting pressing community needs through effective and equitable engagement of volunteers. We are constantly shaping the future of volunteerism through extensive research and program initiatives. MAVA connects, educates, strengthens, and advocates for volunteer engagement leaders and their organizations to positively impact communities.
What We Do
We provide an exchange of relevant information and ideas and effective professional development through regular and frequent access to training for leaders of volunteers using local partnerships. Our programs include an AmeriCorps VISTA program, the Service Enterprise Initiative to build capacity for volunteerism, and research resulting in a cutting-edge curriculum anchored in dismantling inequities in volunteerism.
