Who We Are

Asian American Organizing Project (AAOP) is a non-partisan, grassroots organizing and civic engagement organization led by young Asian people whom are mostly 35 years old and under, women, girls, LGBTQ, student, disabled, and who are or come from families of refugee and immigrant experience.

We believe that one of the multiple ways to affect institutional and systemic change in Minnesota is through our Asian American voting power; guided by gender justice, raising political consciousness, and providing resources and access to information.

What We Do

Our vision is that Asian American and Pacific Islander individuals, families, organizations, and communities in Minnesota will affect long-term social change and civic engagement through grassroots, neighborhood organizing efforts.

Our mission is to advance Asian American, refugee, and immigrant participation in democracy for equitable and just society.

Our work includes a civic engagement program, year-round youth program, summer organizing fellowships and internships, gender justice initiatives, a podcast New Narratives, and more.
