Mission Statement: At Neighborhood Development Center, we believe in the power and drive of local entrepreneurs to transform their lives and revitalize their neighborhoods.
Organization’s Challenge:
Neighborhood Development Center (NDC) is seeking support for a social media strategy project. Their one-person communications team crafts messaging for three distinct audiences: clients served (entrepreneurs/small businesses), funders, and general supporters. They seek to market their programs and offerings clearly without inducing audience fatigue. Most of their social media posts are program-specific, with calls to action like applying for an opportunity or attending an event. They are looking to boost engagement on the donor side and get more mileage from posts (such as telling a story that allows multiple audiences to appreciate the impact). They see most engagement on Instagram, finding that video-first, storytelling content showing real people and businesses served generates more engagement than general updates. NDC seeks expertise around drafting a social media strategy that they can realistically implement given their capacity constraints. This could include establishing a more consistent posting cadence and clearer priorities for various audiences on multiple platforms.
